Life is hard, and then you die, was my grandfathers favorite saying. I learned many lessons from my grandfather. Growing up during the depression, his life was hard. . .Yet, what I remember about him are the success stories. . . And so, by his example, Ive learned my Toolbox for Life. It contains courage, determination, perseverance, patience, and charity.

Does positive self talk really help? Does saying “I always have this problem” motivate you the same as “I’ll do better next time?”

Overnight success is so named from its apparently sudden appearance on one’s doorstep. However, success is not too good at finding people unless they have built a pathway for it to follow, and perhaps lit a beacon as well.

I believe it is possible for ordinary people to achieve extraordinary things. For me, the difference between an “ordinary” and an “extraordinary” person is not the title that person might have, but what they do to make the world a better place for us all.
